It’s not over until it’s over. The year is coming to an end, but you still have time to reach your goals. Here are 5 goal setting tips to help you finish strong.
1. Write it down! Statistics show people who write down their goals have over an 80% higher success rate of achieving them. Start a Goals journal. Make sure you use the S.M.A.R.T. goal model. Your goals must be specific, measurable, achievable, results-oriented and time-limited.
2. Go for small victories. How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. Break down your goals into manageable pieces and celebrate the small victories.
3.Build Momentum. Experiencing small victories will help you gain momentum. Consistency is the best way to build momentum.
4. Replace negative, dream killing self talk with positive words that breathe life into your goals
5. Find an accountability partner that will provide positive support and encourages you to stay the course
