Our Story
Our Story
In 2016, The Diva Movement launched its first girls leadership program called, Girls in the Middle. A coalition of community stakeholders, partners and local businesses formed to help girls reach their fullest potential.
In a society where gender expectations play a significant role in the development of young ladies, leadership development programs, are crucial to the healthy growth and productive development of girls. Research has proven that there has been an increase in depression, risky behavior, and low body image, among middle and high school girls. Our programs enable young ladies to navigate life’s challenges from Middle School life and beyond.
The program quickly expanded into numerous central Ohio schools. Our programs and outreach have served over 1500 girls throughout Central Ohio.
We believe in empowering, equipping and empowering the next generation of women to live a life of purpose.
