Show Notes

Noni Banks shares her personal journey of finding and healing herself. She mentions that she spent over a year finding and loving herself, forgiving her, and honoring herself.

Noni  quotes Tricia Hersey, the founder of the Nat Ministry, who describes rest as a healing portal to our deepest selves and emphasizes that rest is an act of resistance and care. It emphasizes the importance of prioritizing rest as an act of resistance against societal pressure to constantly be productive and busy.  In this episode, she suggests that rest is not only about physical rest, but also about honoring the mind, body, and soul.

Noni discusses her commitment to being a good steward of her work with thousands of women around the world. However, she realized the importance of connecting with women in deeper and more meaningful ways, beyond just business.  After months of seeking, praying, crying, and laughing, she was led to create the Soul Sister Circles and Podcast, a community and platform for women over 40 seeking a more holistic approach to business and life.   This new community is designed to honor the mind, body, and soul of women, not just her business.

The podcast serves as a place for women to find inspiration, gain insights, discover new perspectives, heal, and find joy as mid-stage women. Noni had the opportunity to interview women from around the world for this podcast, and all of her conversations were aligned. The podcast is intended to be a conduit of healing, transformation, and joy as women align with her highest purpose and live her best lives.

Overall, the Noni emphasizes the transformative power of rest and how it has played a crucial role in her personal growth and healing. She has learned to prioritize rest and incorporate it into her daily and weekly routine, recognizing its significance in nurturing her well-being and allowing them to show up as her best selves.  The episode highlights the transformative power of resilience, purpose and passion  and how it can lead to healing, personal growth, and a more fulfilling life.
